Orangewood Christian School’s lower school program provides a strong academic foundation, that is project-based.  Primary students (Grades K4-3) develop literacy skills through a phonics-based reading program that emphasizes quality literature, reading comprehension, writing, spelling, and grammar.  Our intermediate students (Grades 4-6) study classic children’s literature, read across a variety of literary genres, and make meaningful textual connections.  Students expand their knowledge of the writing process, while incorporating specific spelling and grammar skills.  Our Envisions Math Program in Grades K-5, encourage students to think critically while making meaningful connections across content areas through our STEM framework.
