Middle School "Walk for Zambia" fundraiser!

Our Middle School "Walk for Zambia" fundraiser, held on December 3, was a HUGE success!  All of our students who were present on the December 3rd participated in walking laps around our football field.  In total our students walked 1,551 laps, the equivalent of 387.75 miles! Students are able to continue fundraising until Wednesday, December 18.  Click on this LINK to support the efforts of our students!

We are so thankful for Mrs. Kelly Katauskas and her leadership of our Middle School PTF Coordinators and volunteers!  Kelly and her team did a fantastic job assisting with anything that needed to be done to help make this event a success!

Note from PTF President Wendy Evans | PTF Teacher & Faculty Christmas Fund

At this time of year, you are probably contemplating a gift (or six) as a token of your appreciation for a wonderful teacher, coach or mentor to your students. While always appreciated, the PTF has a fund that specifically gathers monetary gifts which are divided among our faculty and staff. To tell you how much it is appreciated so that they can bless their own families can’t be overstated. This also saves you time and another logistical matter to handle over the busy holidays!

If you would like your gift added to your OCS account, please contact Gigi Harris at gharris@ocsrams.org  or CLICK HERE.  You now have until December 13 to make a donation which will be shared with our faculty and staff at their luncheon on December 18. Please consider a worthwhile and meaningful donation to the people who love, pray over and care for your students!!

Lower School Christmas Shop | Donations Needed

Our High School Choir is raising funds for their trip to New York City to sing at Lincoln Center, and we need your help! Our Choir is sponsoring a Christmas Shop for our K4-2nd graders, and we are in need of new or like-new items to help stock our Christmas Store.

LS students wishing to buy Christmas gifts for their family members will be able to come in and shop on Friday, December 13th. If you wish to donate items, the drop-off day will be Wednesday, December 11th at the lower school, during carpool. Items can also be dropped off at the upper school. Stay tuned for more information! Questions? Contact Laura Nelson Kelly at lnelson@ocsrams.org.

Early Dismissal / No Extended Care on December 18

Please remember that Wednesday, December 18, is an early dismissal day. All Middle School students will be dismissed at 11:35am.  Extended Care is CLOSED on December 18, so please make plans to pick up students at 11:35am.

First Semester Service Hours NOW DUE | Link

Middle School students are required to complete 16 community service hours during the 2019-2020 school year.  If your student has already logged service hours this year, please have them complete the form in order to get credit for them. Completed forms may be turned in to the Middle School Office or directly to Mr. Mann.

Academic help available for Middle School students!

We are excited to partner with our High School National Honor Society students to offer an after-school tutoring center open to ALL Middle School students!  The tutoring center is available every Thursday afternoon (when school is in session) in Mrs. Rushing's classroom (MS 213) from 2:50pm until 3:50pm.  There is no charge for this service.  Students may receive help in ANY subject!  We hope our families will encourage your students to take advantage of this opportunity for extra academic help.

Moms In Prayer

Come and experience the joy of praying for your child and our school. Moms In Prayer gathers to pray every Tuesday Morning, 8:00am - 9:00 am in the Upper School Conference Room. We follow the “ACTS” pattern – Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication (Intercession).  Questions?   E-mail: mitorangewood@yahoo.com or contact Jennifer Belflower (407-756-8371) for more information.
